Jewelry lost in Des Moines (IA) at Moving
Lost item: Jewelry. Engagement ring and band. Engagement ring is 14k yellow gold with an oval teal sapphire for the main stone at about 1.62 CT. It has tiny green sapphires on each side of the band. I think it’s about 1.98 or just under 2 CT for the stones in total. The setting has a two claw on each corner, in a 4 prong setting. The wedding band is also gold and has very small green sapphires from side to side. It has a curve so the engagement ring fits perfectly when worn at the same time. The rings both have detailed filigree on the edges. It was a custom ring made in Iowa locally. Lost in August in west Des Moines Iowa. Filed police reports, nothing has turned up.

ℹ️ Circumstances of loss: We were in the middle of a move from west Des Moines to Des Moines so it may have gotten lost then, but I checked every nook and cranny of both houses, all boxes, all coat pockets, even heat vents to make sure they didn’t fall into them. We filed an insurance claim and police report. Owen jewelry in Des Moines is where the rings were made and purchased. Engagement ring was purchased in October 2023, given to me that December and the band was purchased in April of 2025. I had that for just a few short months before it was missing.
