How it works
You report the loss
Tell us what you lost, where on the Academy grounds or nearby, and when. We gather the details that matter to the right people.
We route it to the right places
Your report goes directly to Academy Security Forces, the visitor center, and we post it to local channels so base personnel and visitors see it right away.
Your report keeps searching
Once your report is live, it stays active and keeps matching against new found items reported in the Academy system and nearby areas for 12 months, so you don't have to check back constantly.
Where to report a lost item
Official channels that hold and process lost & found at the Academy and nearby
Academy Security Forces
The primary office for lost items on base. Report to them if you lost something on Academy grounds, and we'll ensure your details reach the right desk.
Visitor Center & Guest Services
If you lost an item while visiting the Academy or at the visitor center itself, check here first. They coordinate lost & found for tourists and day guests.
Denver International Airport
If you left something on the way to or from the Academy, Denver International is the closest major airport. Their lost & found holds items and we can direct your report there too.
Lost pet
If you've lost a dog, cat, or other animal at or near the Academy, the base veterinary clinic and local rescue networks are key. The Academy vet clinic also maintains a registry of lost animals on base.

Report my lost item →Losing something at the Air Force Academy, whether during a tour, at a game, or on base, means juggling calls to Security Forces, the visitor center, and local lost & found offices scattered across Colorado Springs. It's easy to miss a match if you're not checking everywhere at once.
ReportLost simplifies that. File one report and we notify the right Academy offices, post your item to the channels where base personnel and visitors look, and keep your report actively searching for matches over months, not days. Once you've submitted, you can focus on your day while the system works behind the scenes.
